A new animal-welfare barn for chickens – and even more farm life at the Moierhof

There's something new to discover at the Moierhof! This winter we are investing in a new animal-welfare barn and are very much looking forward to welcoming chickens – or “Giggerl”, as we say in Bavaria – to our farm from next year.

With the new barn we want to develop our farm and the way we keep our animals, and give our chickens a species-appropriate home built around their welfare. For us, sustainable and responsible farming is just as much a part of farm life as the joy of letting our guests experience a little bit of it.

We are very grateful that our project is supported by the AFP (Agrarinvestitionsförderprogramm – Agricultural Investment Support Programme). This support helps us invest in the future of our farm, in better animal welfare and in a lively farm experience for our guests.

With public funding

Our project to build a new animal-welfare barn receives financial support under the Agricultural Investment Support Programme (AFP) from:

  • the European Union
  • the Federal Republic of Germany
  • the Free State of Bavaria

We would like to thank everyone involved for supporting the further development of our farm.
